AsterLuna Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 20, 2026 Last updated: July 16, 2026

AsterLuna is a perimenopause symptom tracker made by Snively Studios ("we," "us"). This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information. The short version: your health data stays on your device and in your own private iCloud. We cannot see it.

The one thing to know first

AsterLuna does not have a server that collects your health information. Everything you log, your symptoms, cycle dates, journal entries, and notes, is stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. That data belongs to you and Apple's iCloud, not to us. We have no way to read it, download it, or sell it.

What we do not do

Information handled by AsterLuna

Your health and symptom data. Stored on your device using Apple's on-device database, and synced through your own private iCloud account if you have iCloud enabled. This uses Apple's iCloud infrastructure, which is encrypted and governed by Apple's privacy terms. We do not receive this data and cannot access it.

Purchases. If you buy a subscription or a lifetime unlock, the transaction is handled by Apple, which acts as the seller. We use a service called RevenueCat to confirm whether you have an active purchase, so the app knows to unlock paid features. RevenueCat receives a random, app-generated identifier and your purchase status. It does not receive your name, email, or any health data. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Support Signals (the Circle feature), only if you choose to use it. Support Signals lets you send and receive anonymous notes of encouragement. This is the one place where information you enter can leave your device, and only when you tap to share, one item at a time. When you choose to share a card, the following is sent to a shared, anonymous space hosted on Apple's iCloud public database: which general symptom the card is about (for example, "brain fog"), an optional age band (for example, "late 40s") only if you provided your birth year, a timestamp, and a temporary anonymous identifier that changes regularly and is never tied to your name or your private data. No free text, no exact data, and nothing that identifies you is ever shared. You can turn Support Signals off entirely in Settings, and sharing is always opt-in per card.

Notifications. If you turn on daily reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server, and reminder text never names a symptom or the word "menopause."

Data you choose to export

AsterLuna lets you export your data as a spreadsheet (CSV) or generate a PDF report for your doctor. When you do this, the file is created on your device and you decide where it goes using your phone's standard share options. Once you share a file outside the app, it is in your hands and subject to wherever you send it.

Children

AsterLuna is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices and control

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR in the EU/UK, or CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because your health data lives only on your device and in your own iCloud, you already hold and control it directly. For the limited purchase data described above, contact us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
